Acknowledging Australia's 'forgotten war'
From the 1790s to the 1920s, indigenous Australians were engaged in violent battles with British soldiers, police and colonists, for control of the Australian continent. Did this bloody conflict constitute warfare? If so, why are there virtually no official memorials or commemorations of these frontier wars? Historian and author Henry Reynolds says genuine reconciliation is not possible until we acknowledge this forgotten war. He is in conversation with Paul Barclay.
