Stool / Pot-plant stand

Four-legged stool that transforms into a pot-plant stand (or the other way around).

Reclaimed pine from a bed frame, 2 way splayed and tapered legs, tried a basic "shou sugi ban" finish with a propane torch (heavier on the seat, lighter on the legs).  Finished with linseed oil then beeswax.

Ripped down pine bed frame
Planed and squared (some messy grain at the bottom)
Mortises for stretchers and part-way through tapering the legs
Bored 2-way splayed holes for leg mortises and shaped tenons
Glued up with shelves (removable)
Timid shou sugi ban style burning with propane torch
Finished with linseed oil and beeswax
In use as a pot-plant stand
